Fire suppression is the prevention and reduction of the hazards associated with fires. It involves the study of the behaviour, suppression and investigation of fire and its related emergencies as well as the research and development, production, testing and application of mitigating systems.

Some of the suppression systems provided by us are :

  • Water based fire suppression
  • Fire sprinklers utilize water by direct application onto flames and heat. This action cools the combustion process and prevents ignition of adjacent combustibles. Sprinkler systems are a series of water pipes which are supplied by a reliable water supply. Most sprinkler systems also include an alarm to alert occupants when a fire occurs.

  • Foam based fire suppression
  • Any systems-Wet, Dry, Deluge or Preaction-can be adapted to include the injection of foam concentrate in order to combat high risks such as flammable fuels and alcohol. The primary Foam Components added to the sprinkler system riser include bladder tanks to hold the foam concentrate, concentrate control valves to isolate the sprinkler system from the concentrate until activation, and eductors (controllers) for mixing the appropriate amount of foam.

  • Gas based fire suppression
  • Gas Suppression Systems are used to protect special hazard or sensitive areas, like bank vaults and computer rooms. The use of conventional fire sprinkler systems may not be appropriate for special hazard areas. Gas suppression systems use halon or environmentally friendly clean agents. Clean agents include; CO2 systems, argonite and FM-200.

  • Manual suppression systems
  • Manual extinguishing systems are used in case the fire is small and is not spreading. They are designed in such a way that they can be operated by the common man to suppress any small fire that may emerge around him.
